Hospital - Core Couture
The Story Behind Hospital-Core Couture
Hospital Couture was born in one of the most unexpected places imaginable: a hospital room.
Being hospitalized was already an overwhelming experience. The environment felt unfamiliar, clinical, and at times eerie. I was anxious, uncomfortable, and ready to go home. But as the days went on, I started getting to know the nurses and doctors around me. We talked, laughed, and connected simply as people.
Then the fashion designer in me took over.
I looked around the room and thought:
What if I turned everything around me into fashion?
As a designer, I have always believed that almost anything can be transformed when you look at it differently. So I picked up my phone, put on the hospital gown, opened Instagram, and started strutting through the hospital like the hallway was a runway.
That simple moment became something much bigger.
People watched. People laughed. People shared it. The videos began reaching hundreds of thousands of people, eventually surpassing 1 million views, and an entirely new creative world began to form.
That was the birth of Hospital Couture, 1 of 1's.
The collection became my way of transforming an experience associated with fear, vulnerability, sickness, and routine into something filled with beauty, humor, imagination, and life.
Hospital gowns became fabric.
Medical materials became inspiration.
The hallway became a runway.
And the experience became art.
Each piece in Hospital Couture carries part of that story — taking something ordinary, uncomfortable, or overlooked and giving it a completely new identity.
This is more than clothing. It is transformation.
